Praise in motion Flowing and spinning, Khumbu Dlamini '02 moved and danced to the throbbing beat, the African rhythms flowed out of her motions, telling her story.
Her royal Swaziland heritage, demonstrated through the dress, the rich music, the swish and sway of bodies expressing and praising and living out their identity.
Scholarly faith Richelle (Schmidt) '98 and Jeff Stackert '98 believe intellect and faith go hand-in-hand. The couple — both university professors — is busy applying their smarts and faith in positively challenging and influencing the lives of others.
Courtney (Bergman) Baker '05 Majoring in science education at Olivet, Courtney (Bergman) Baker now works just down the road from her alma mater at Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School, teaching life science classes and a chemistry class.
"The greatest reward is watching a student struggle with something, but working really hard to succeed. Then one day, their hard work pays off and the glow on their face is just priceless, especially if they get to explain it to another student," Courtney shares.
