Hodge hooks in Harks, all-stater from suburbs

Coach Hodge and Tiger Basketball welcome their fourth newest member of the '09 recruiting class on Wednesday, April 22. Jordan Harks, a 6'7", 210 lbs. forward from Lombard, Ill. Jordan played his high school basketball at Glenbard South High School and had a very successful career. ONU is excited to have Jordan, being that he was heavily recruited by a host of NCAA Division III's, Division II's and some Division I's.
Harks blossomed into a very good player as a senior averaging 22 points and 9 rebounds a game on a team who went 20-8 and won a IHSA Regional Championship, Jordan had 29 points in the win.
His career has plenty of highlights, starting with an IHSA 3A AP All-State Honorable Mention selection and IBCA 3A/4A 4th Team selection. A selection that has him on the same list as Marcus Jordan (Michael Jordan's son) from Whitney Young High School, who is playing at NCAA Division I University of Central Florida and Crandell Head (Luther Head's younger brother) from Rich South High School, who is playing his college basketball at the University of Illinois.
Also, he was the Most Valuable Player of the Western Sun Conference and selected to the DuPage County All-Area team. According to the City Suburban Hoops Report, Jordan is one of the "Top 60" in the state of Illinois.
Harks will be asked to play an impact role maybe as soon as his freshman year. He will play inside and outside for the Tigers, having ability to post up in the paint and shoot the ball from the arc. Jordan is very quick and agile for his size and can handle the ball with efficiency and play fundamentally with and without the ball.
However, his most valuable ability is his aggressiveness; being that he attacks the rim without care and can play above the rim with ease and can finish very well. He loves to rebound and helps his team in whichever way he can, which makes him well-suited for Tiger Basketball.
