The Kankakee County Soldiers put a scare into unbeaten East Division rival Holland (Mich.), but the Blast, led by eight double-digit scorers, rallied for an eventual 125-112 victory in International Basketball League action on Saturday.

The host Soldiers (1-2) led by eight points at the end of the first quarter and held the Blast (4-0) 24 points below their season average, but it wasn't enough.

LaRence Burnett led Kankakee with 28 points while Barry Bradford added 16 points and a team-high four assists.

Olivet Nazarene University graduate Stan Chismark added 15 points for the Soldiers.
