Alumni Tail-Gate

The Olivet Nazarene College baseball team will be providing hot dogs, snacks, and drinks for alumni this Saturday prior to the Tiger Football game. The tail-gate lunch, which will be held from 12:00-1:00 just outside Watson Field and the baseball press box, is open to all baseball alums. Stop by for a free lunch before heading into the game on Saturday. Our newest t-shirts and game hats will be available to purchase. Gold wins Purple-Gold Series

The Tiger baseball team concluded their fall schedule with the annual Purple-Gold Intra-squad Series. Team Gold picked up the victory winning the coveted championship t-shirt and dinner in the campus dining hall served to them by members of the Purple team. After losing game one, the Gold team rallied by throwing a combined shutout in game two. Chad Steinborn (Pekin, Ill.) picked up the win and Ben Heller (Whitewater, Wis.) the save as Chris Hammett (Indianapolis, Ind.) drove in the winning runs with a two-out two run single in the 3rd inning. Game 3 saw team Gold capitalize on 6 walks and two errors to score 6 runs and win the series. Chris Hammett delivered another two out RBI single and Ben Heller picked up his second save of the series, pitching the final two innings.
