Olivet Nazarene University

Brian Hyma is in his third year as the program director for the Athletic Training program at Olivet Nazarene University. He is also in seventh year as a certified athletic trainer at Olivet. Hyma came to Olivet from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich., where he served as head athletic trainer, as well as an instructor in the exercise science/physical education department. Before working at Calvin, he was an assistant athletic trainer at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.

He holds a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Liberty and a master's degree in athletic training from Western Michigan University. During the summer, he serves as an assistant director of Hoop Heaven Basketball Camp in New York. Hoop Heaven provides inner-city youths from the New York and New Jersey areas with a Christian basketball camp during the summer months.

He, his wife Melissa, and their daughter Nora reside in the Bourbonnais area.
