Dr. J. Edward Ellis, assistant professor of theology, earned a bachelor’s degree from Stetson University, an M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary, an M.Th. from Emory University and a Ph.D. from Baylor University. His professional areas of interest include the New Testament and narrative criticism.
Dr. Ellis’ book, “Paul and Ancient Views of Sexual Desire: Paul’s Sexual Ethics in 1 Thessalonians 4, 1 Corinthians 7, and Romans 1,” was published August of 2007. His writings have also appeared in the spring 2002 and fall 2003 issues of Perspectives in Religious Studies.
In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, singing, writing and spending time with his wife, Terri.
