James Carmean
Lieutenant Colonel, Professor of military science
Professor Carmean has a wide base of experiences that complement his degrees.
He was an instructor at the US Army Command and General Staff College for three years, and an assistant professor of military science at Texas State University at San Marcos.
Beyond his teaching experiences, he has served as an ROTC recruiting operations officer at Fort Sheridan and a battalion commander for the US Army in Iraq.
As a hobby, Prof. Carmean raises Akita dogs, which are the national dog of Japan. He is married to his wife, Cecilia.
