Professor Mary Ada Dillinger brings 12 years of teaching and public and school librarianship to her position as a full time faculty member and Academic Librarian of Benner Library and Resource Center.
Her masters in Library Science with a school library specialist enabled her to gain school library experience in 3 different states, during her husband’s military career.
Upon being hired as an Academic Librarian at Olivet in 1990, she has completed a Certificate in Advanced Studies from the University of Illinois, which enables her to provide leadership in cataloging and organizing the Benner Library collection. Her project paper was “An Investigation of Bibliographic Instruction in Selected Private Liberal Arts College”.
Mary Ada is married to her husband of 39 years, Paul who is also a part of the ONU Faculty as Professor of Nursing. “Together they have a ministry heart for the ONU students.” They have 3 adult children with 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Their son, Frank is part of an Army Reserve Unit from Arlington Heights, IL and their daughter, Mary Elise, is a Capt in the Army JAG Corps. Their son, Dan is an IT network administrator in Chicago.
