Stephen Brown

Dr. Brown joined the mathematics department in 1991. He has a variety of previous teaching experiences including both the secondary and college level. He is a referee for the NCTM journal “Teaching Children Mathematics." His areas of interest are mathematics education, mathematics anxiety and new approaches to teaching elementary mathematics.

He also plays trumpet in several organizations.

Steve's wife Kathy works as a medical nurse at Riverside Medical Center. They have two children: Chris and his wife Alice have three sons; Marcia and her husband Francisco have one son and one daughter. The Browns are active members of College Church of the Nazarene.
