Juliene Forrestal

Professor Forrestal has taught in the Department of English and Modern Languages since 1989, first as an adjunct and then, beginning in 1996, as a member of the full-time faculty. She has led Olivet students in three study tours of England and attended the C.S. Lewis Summer Institute in Oxford, England in July 2005 to enrich her teaching of the special topics course on C. S. Lewis. Prof. Forrestal has been faculty adviser for Tygr, an art and literary publication that showcases the work of ONU students, since 1996.

Having a strong interest in Volunteers in Mission, she was recipient of United Methodist Women Special Recognition from the Women's Division of the General Board of Global Ministries in 2003, and she is a certified lay speaker in the United Methodist Church. She was also a student under Dr. Francis Schaeffer at the Swiss branch of L'Abri.

Prof. Forrestal serves as the coordinator for the general education composition courses, is a member of the Faculty Development Committee and the Honors Council, and belongs to the National Council of Teachers of English and the Illinois Association of Teachers of English.
