wcanales@olivet.eduWilfredo Canales has experience in a wide range of institutional leadership. Before coming to Olivet, he has gained experience around the world in a variety of roles.
He was the president of Centro de Estudios Pastorales/Center for Pastoral Studies in Chicago, a general editor for the pastoral journal, "Reflexiones," in the Hispanic Ministries office for the U.S. and Canada, under the Church of the Nazarene.
Professor Canales has also served as the district Superintendent and director of theological education for the Church of the Nazarene in Paraguay for seven years.
In addition, he served as the coordinator for Nazarene Communications Network in the Caribbean Region, Miami.
He was also the director for Latin-American Nazarene Communication, San José, Costa Rica and the President, South American Nazarene Theological Seminary in Quito, Ecuador; District Superintendent and Pastor, Peru Central District, Church of the Nazarene.
At Olivet, professor Canales teaches Spanish.
